As part of your initial visit to our office, Dr. Brian Gowasack will meet with you personally to learn about your dental history, along with any current concerns or interests in restorative or cosmetic dental treatments.
Dr. G. and his clinical team will thoroughly examine your teeth and gums to assess your overall dental health condition. As part of this exam, Dr. Gowasack will check carefully to look for signs of tooth decay, periodontal (gum) disease or any areas of concern. He also performs an oral cancer screening during your initial exam and at routine cleaning visits; oral cancer is a serious health risk that can be life-threatening.
We may recommend digital x-rays and close-up oral photos to allow us to take a close look at your teeth and supporting jaw bone. Details are very important in dentistry, we believe in being thorough and keeping you well informed about your dental health.
Following a complete examination, Dr. Gowasack will guide you through recommendations to keep your smile healthy. If restorative treatment or periodontal (gum) therapy is needed, we will make sure you fully understand the procedures involved and what to expect.
